Based in the far north-west corner of Scotland (not quite on a castle in the sea!) we live a simple life in a small community, with time on our hands to do more or less as we please and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!
Life, to a certain extent, is ruled by the weather.

2011 has been a year of very mixed weather.  
(The snow came early - in November 2010 - and managed to kill off many of our hedges and shrubs!)
Since then we have had odd weeks of reasonable weather, others of gales and rain
(The week of gales at the end of  May did a great deal of damage to the trees we have nurtured for so long!)

Now - June - we are waiting to see if we have a summer?

Actually, there are so many special days, at all times of the year - and spectacular nights too.
In fact, the light and colours in the winter can be wonderful  
Up here there is so much SKY - either serene or stormy - at sunrise or sunset.
